Jupiter commencera à être visible en deuxième partie de la nuit. La planète géante se lèvera à 04h04 UTC le 1er novembre et à 02:39 UTC le 30 novembre. A gauche est reportée l'élongation ( en rayon de Jupiter ) des Satellites Galiléens depuis Jupiter. L'animation de droite montre le mouvement des satellites pour le mois de novembre: Io ( I ), Europe ( II ), Ganymède ( III ) et Callisto ( IV ). Remarquez aussi l'évolution de l'atmosphère de Jupiter.
Saturne sera pratiquement inobservable à cause de sa mauvaise élongation.
Nous rappelons que M25 est un amas ouvert situé dans la constellation du Sagittaire à une distance de 2000 a.l. environ, un diamètre apparent de 40 arcmin et une âge estimée à 90 millions d'année. De magnitude visuelle de 4.6, l'amas est déjà visible à l’œil nu sous un ciel noir; un petit instrument de 100 mm environ, avec un faible grossissement, permet de séparer les étoiles qui le composent, dont U Sgr, une céphéide avec une période de 6.745 j.
M28 est un amas globulaire situé dans la constellation du Sagittaire; Il est situé a une distance de 18 000 a.l. "seulement", est de magnitude apparente de 6.8. Théoriquement visible avec des jumelles il faut un instrument d'au moins 150mm pour séparer les composants de l'amas. M28 compte à son interne 18 variables de type RR Lyr, une Céphéide de type W Vir et un pulsar milliseconde.
